About Me
With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in helping students at the elementary and middle school level who struggle with early literacy skills and reading fluency. As a dedicated educator, I have successfully supported children with learning disabilities, ensuring they understand and retain information effectively.
I’ve had the privilege of playing many roles: parent, general education teacher, and special education case manager. This wide range of experience has given me a unique perspective on the needs of students and families navigating the world of learning difficulties. I bring not only my expertise as an educator with a master’s degree, but also my deep empathy for parents seeking the right support for their children.
By using research based teaching methods and the Orton Gillingham methodology, I tailor instruction to meet each child’s unique needs, fostering their confidence and academic growth. I provide online lessons through Zoom or in-person lessons in the Wisconsin Rapids, WI. area. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

As a School Psychologist I had the privilege of working with Teresa Guillemot in an elementary education setting for multiple years. In the course of working together, Teresa blew me away with her ability to prioritize students and their academic needs and create specific plans to foster their personal growth. I have witnessed Teresa not only planning and advocating for students, but also diligently pouring into their individual instruction, fostering leaps and bounds in their progress. Teresa is highly trained in programs and methods that are research based and are proven to facilitate student growth in reading and math. She is truly invaluable to schools, teachers, parents, and students in her skillset but also her willingness and passion for student growth and success. I highly recommend Teresa as she ventures into focusing on individual student tutoring with the Orton Gillingham program. You will certainly enjoy working with Teresa and will see amazing growth given her skills plus this extraordinary program.
